Action Communication re-launches timber architectural joinery business

Engagement used dynamic marketing elements to reposition business to Queensland’s leading architects, builders and interior designers.

Action Communications is delighted to have worked with the new owner of Eden Made (formerly Eden Windows) to reposition his architectural joinery business as one of the top 3 suppliers in Queensland.

Acquiring the company in late 2016, Grant Pratten saw the potential with the business despite a website that had not been updated in over a decade. While their image was tired, research revealed the company had a solid reputation for creating beautiful timber products at a great price and being a supplier that was easy to work with and reliable.

With an appreciation of design aesthetics, Grant was brave and determined to invest the time and money in creating the right brand and marketing elements. “This business has the potential to grow substantially but not without the right branding, marketing and systems in place,” he said.

Action Communications worked with Grant and his team over a nine-month period to bring his new brand to life.

“We did this together,” said Grant. “We didn’t want to rush it. We wanted to get it right. I feel I was a real part of the process in accomplishing a beautiful brand experience that is true to our brand essence of beautiful craftsmanship.”

Rebrand pays off

“Staff, clients and suppliers have been wowed with the transformation and our new identity,” added Grant. “It has been wonderful to work with the Action team to create a truly professional and impactful marketing presence. I recommend them wholeheartedly.”

Action Communications work with Eden Made involved:

  • Research with existing builders and architects
  • Branding & Marketing Workshops
  • Brand Strategy and brand testing, which ultimately ended up with renaming the company to Eden Made and the addition of the tagline, Beautiful Timber Designs
  • A new Brand Logo and Brand Guidelines
  • Corporate stationery and signage
  • Marketing Plan that was practical and logical
  • A compelling Brand Story video, which differentiates us from the competition. None of their competition have a video on their website, however, rather than focus on custom windows and doors, we focused on Eden Made’s passion for the environment and timber and their craftsmanship and calling to create beautiful timber designs. This video included collaboration with their Canadian timber supplier, location of Canadian talent to do the voice over and sound recording in Sydney.
  • A responsive, mobile friendly website that is not just for architects and builders but for home owners / renovators and interior designers. The landscape has evolved over the past two decades in terms of who buys Eden Made’s products and who is involved in creating homes of style and heart. The website needed to be inviting to all. On top of this a second short announcement video was produced for social media.
  • Social Media: Houzz, Instagram and Facebook profiles and communications along with EDMs to a growing, segmented database.
  • Signage and also an office revamp using services of Interior Designer to better reflect the quality of the products Eden Made develops and the ambiance clients are seeking. It was about the total Eden Experience.
  • PR in local newspapers and industry magazines.

Work for Eden Made is ongoing. Our creative partners on this project were 121 Creative Geebung, Fade In Productions, Take 2 Studio (Sydney), Leah Sparkes Voice Over and Berkeley Interiors.
