Action Communications unveils new look website – captures brand essence

We are delighted to unveil our new look website which, while showcasing our services and portfolio, honours an aspect of nature that we are both enamoured with – birds! It’s a fascination we inherited from our father, who used to have homing pigeons as a small boy, and today talks to the birds wherever he goes.

Anita rosellasAnita has laying fowl in her back yard for her small boys to collect eggs from each day and toucan and rosella images appear throughout her home. Sherryl, meantime, has loved birds and flight ever since the days of Jonathan Livingston Seagull. Plus, she’s had a fascination with eagles ever since she read The Stonor Eagles back in the 1990s. They are a major part of Come Full Circle, her third book in The Iceberg Trilogy.

Deciding to theme our website around birds is central to the work we do with clients as it goes to the core of who we are. When we work with clients we are all about discovering their brand essence as this is what uniquely identifies an organisation and helps build their brand story, identity and cohesion.

Since joining forces back in December 2011, we have worked for some large organisations, schools and government departments, yet we have also worked for many SMEs and NFPs – in fact SMEs account for around 50% of our clients.

For us it was really important that in our new website, the imagery was something that clients and people from all walks of life could relate to. Birds were not the the first concept we came up with, but once we conceived the idea, everything fell into place – a bit like a cryptic crossword.

As you know, birds are incredibly diverse, some of them travel the world, some mate for life, and like the canary in the coal mine, they are a harbinger of change. However one thing is certain: in Australia our birdlife is something to be celebrated. And so we have.

Our new website is built in WordPress using the Avada theme. (Tip if you would like to know what theme a website is built on you can use this nifty detector: http://www.wpthemedetector.com/) Our website design partners for this project were Design By Look, to whom we owe a huge vote of thanks!

So have a look around and tell us what you think. We’d love to hear from you!
