BRISBANE RESEARCH PROJECTS & CLIENTS
Calamvale
This large Public School on Brisbane’s South side is one of the most multicultural in the state and and in 2020 became one of the first state schools to be IB recognised.
For Calamvale we undertook Focus Groups with staff, parents and community members to gain a clear understanding of market perceptions and challenges.
These were incorporated into a new brand strategy for the school to address old perceptions and a marketing plan to illustrate what a trailblazer this state school is.
Outdoors Queensland
In recent years we have worked on two projects for Outdoors Queensland (formerly Queensland Outdoor Recreation Federation):
- Membership Study
Phone interview research to provide insights into the development of a membership strategy that the organisation could implement to significantly increase its membership base. Telephone survey involved market research with staff, board members, current members and former registered members representing a range of Brisbane outdoor companies and development organisations.
- Horseriding
Developed a detailed survey monkey research project (with conditional logic) to understand current perceptions around horseriding in Queensland, behaviours of riders, access to riding areas, barriers to club memberships and other key elements needed to aid in the development of a plan for the horseriding sector.
EMBERIN
Working for emberin, one of Australia’s most progressive diversity companies – a leader in female empowerment programs – we shifted focus to survey several senior Australian and New Zealand male executives to understand the male perspective on barriers to female progression in the workplace.
The market research for this dynamic Brisbane company was translated into a white paper and helped formulate the development of a multimedia leadership program specifically for men on inclusion used by ASX Top 200 organisations.
International House
In 2019 as part of the Look Education team, we conducted three focus groups with this UQ residential college – staff; freshers; and third years – and conducted a number of telephone interviews with Queensland and international parents.
This information guided the development of a key messages, a new brand strategy and a new website for International House.
